Writing this quick update reminds me of a joke at work once. A bunch of us juveniles come up with a “Jeff Foxworthy-ish” list of “ways you know you’re a yardbird.” We got it up to about 185, but if memory serves correctly, I took about 5 of those back off the list, lest someone get fired for EEO stuff. I digress. One of those ways you know you work for the Feds is when they have a meeting to announce a reduction in the number of meetings. Well, that’s what this quick post is about to do.

I’m deep into drafting the first-run at Book 2, “Order Divested.” As it goes to beta, I plan on pushing right into the third book, “Spiritus Americae.” Looming over my head is the fact that I’m now two blog articles late on my already-reduced weekly schedule. Couple that with an unbreakable commitment to put out two email newsletters per month, and something’s gotta give. I will continue to demand of myself one per month, by the end of the month, for the rest of the year. I expect sometime in January, I can start ramping them back up.

Thanks for understanding. Now, if only that dang earthquake will hold off for a bit longer…
